  I'v bought a lot of black chuck taylors throughout the years. the last one I bought was from this Sport Check, I knew something was funny when it didn't have the same curve at the toe cap. The sales man assured me that that's only because they are new, and convinced me to buy it saying that I have 30 days to return them. Anyway that was 6 months ago, their color is now no longer black, I can't wear them with black pants because that brings out how unblack they are. They are starting to turn green. I compared them to my 3+ years old chuck taylors, and those still held their color even though they were worn for longer periods of time.
